Pearl Valley Golf Estates is 100% owned by Leisurecorp. Leisurecorp is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Dubai World, the company that supervises and manages a portfolio of businesses for the Dubai Government.
Leisurecorp, which was established in July 2006, is responsible for identifying, acquiring and developing leisure- and lifestyle-related investments in Dubai and across the world. Besides Pearl Valley Golf Estates, Leisurecorp’s portfolio includes:
· Dubai’s premier residential golf community, Jumeirah Golf Estates.
· A major shareholding in Island Global Yachting, the premier owner, developer and manager of luxury marinas,
· A shareholding in GPS Industries, the provider of Wi-Fi enabled global positioning systems (GPS) for golf and residential communities.
· A stake in Troon Golf, the world’s leading luxury-brand golf management, development and marketing company
· The Dubai World Championship which will be the world’s richest golf tournament with a prize pool of US$ 10,000,000.

Environment
Leisurecorp implements its environmental beliefs throughout all its properties. The golf and business leaders serve on the advisory council of the Environmental Institute for Golf. This institute, the philanthropic organisation of the Golf Course Superintendents Association of America (GCSAA), is a collaborative effort of the environmental and golf communities, dedicated to strengthening the compatibility of golf with the natural environment. The institute concentrates on delivering programmes and services involving research, education and outreach that communicate the best management practices of environmental stewardship on the golf course.
Jumeirah Golf Estates
Jumeirah Golf Estates is a landmark development that is set to become one of the world’s most prestigious residential golf communities. The four courses are inspired by the natural elements - Fire, Earth, Water and Wind. With course designers including Greg Norman, Vijay Singh, Sergio Garcia and the father of modern golf course design Pete Dye Jumeirah Golf Estates is set to create a new standard in Dubai and internationally.
Jumeirah Golf Estates is also proud to annouce from 2009, The European Tour will come to a thrilling climax at The Dubai World Championship, a US$10,000,000 prize-fund tournament hosted at the development.
To be held annually, the tournament will be open to the players numbered 1- 60 on The Race to Dubai – formally The European Tour Order of Merit – with players also being given the opportunity to compete for an additional US$10,000,000 bonus fund.
Jumeirah Golf Estates from 2009,will also become The European Tour’s International Headquarters, with the organisation based at and operated from a purpose-built facility within Jumeirah Golf Estates.
